Hi Ann and Mike,
thanks for recording this call. I am still building my attraction system and every tip is helpful! I love the idea of JV and I can’t wait to implement it in my business.

Awesome video Ann! Makes a ton of sense.

I never get tired of hearing how Ann and Mike met. It gives me inspiration and hope that things will all fall into place for my new business if I follow their direct information. So nice to see how things progress. I am looking for a powerful J/V right now and this audio helps, I heard the whole thing, Great!
Comment by Matt Fusinato — May 13, 2009 @ 7:29 am
I really think you are right Ann and Mike, with JV you really can build a great business relationship because if you do it right the people who are promoting YOU leave as happy as you are because they are giving value to their customers as well they are getting some extra “free money” in their pocket.
One thing to keep in mind when searching for partners of this sort is to make sure you keep trying. If you are blindly scouring the web looking for people to help you promote you will get turned down a few times, so don’t let that stop you just know there is power in numbers.

WOW! The sparks of your JV, Ann & Mike, is just electrifying! I can’t wait for the time when I can be empowered by a partner (& vise-versa) in a joint venture like yours. You always set the example and it’s great. Thanks for the little video-intro to give us a taste of what’s about to come…

Though I do not have yet a website that I believe it is worth to promote, and don’t even know which is the best kind of online business and how to market it, I’m willing to build one.
Basically, what you say makes sense to me. Maybe you are the mentors I’m looking for. Hope to keep on hearing from you.
Best regards.

Hi Ann & Mike,
I want to thank you both for all that you do.
You are always there to empower & encourage your students to never give up. Just when I am having an emotional breakdown and feeling very over whelmed you come through to pick me up and get me back on track. There’s no doubt about it this takes a lot of hard work and dedication there are struggles and hurdles to get through and I am so glad that I found you both along with Eric Walker & His wife, Kaitlin Rose. I know that with all the guidance provided I am going to be the Entrepreneur I’ve always wanted to be. I just can’t thank you all enough!

Thank you for your efforts and energy!

I listened but didn’t hear any definitive instruction on how to do this - other than you have to know someone and contact them. Someone who, what, where, when, how? Sounds like a lot of money and computer technology skills needed. I’m a complete novice trying to get a foothold on the how-tos.

I often ask myself, every one telling you what you should do.
Maybe this won’t work for me, Ann.
Then what will I do?
I’m trying to start a business.
Every dime is important.
I’ve been involved with MLM for years.
Tried many avenues, nothing worked.
I’m 62, I’m going to try my way.
I think its about time.

to Mamie, take one step at a time. I am 75 years young If I can learn this so can you.Mike’s course is all about computer technology skills click by click in the Renegade University and it is free.It is worth your time. You will know when you are ready for a joint venture. Personally I am working my way up to it and most appreciative of all Mike and Ann are sharing and teaching us newbies along the way. Persevere.

This is great information and very helpful. I have taken a number of different internet network marketing training courses, but nothing compares to the Renegade courses. Traditionally network marketer have been thought to be very “crab” like protecting their leads, downline training secrets.
The trend and opportunity to create our own products empowers us to link arms and joint venture for the greater good of the entire industry.
This is an awesome example of two of the Online Network marketing leaders of how to do it right!
So many JV’s have come my way and I’ve learned to handle it with style and class like Mike mentioned… it’s leading to many non-MLM opportunity.
Thanks for sharing guys :-).

Ann,
I continue to get good stuff from you and there seems to be an endless supply…where does it come from? I think it might be because you are such a good listener and your time is very valuable. Whatever the reason you are careful not to necessarily reinvent the wheel but to bravely take the wheel to another level. I like your spunk!
Comment by West Flato — May 13, 2009 @ 10:20 am
Hi Ann and Mike,
It is hard to put into words the gratitude I have for the teaching, the mentoring, the nurturing, the caring, the downright love the two of you show toward the success of others.
You both raise the bar as far as training and that is exceptional, but it’s the little gifts that go above and beyond. It’s those small surprises “at the end” that makes this University a cut above.
I clicked on Facebook, went immediately to my account, followed it through and ended at the Renegade System. Ann, what you and Mike do for us newbie’s and baby boomers goes more than “ABOVE AND BEYOND”.
Becoming a member of the Renegade Breakthrough is a Joint Venture for me.
My “Pay Back” is to “Pay It Forward”.

Hi Ann and Mike,
You really ‘hit the nail on the head’ when you said that Joint Venturing is the future of online MLM.
In the several Joint Ventures that Alicia and I have done (and are developing) since we joined our business, we have already experienced massive benefits. And I do not think we have even begun to tap into the potential that is there!
I encourage everyone to (1) get good training in the basics of online marketing, (2) build their credibility and experience through multiple media and marketing platforms (e.g. social media, website, blog, etc.), and (3) look for and develop joint venture relationships with those who are demonstrating leadership and embodying the marketing mindset.
It is the ultimate win-win!
Peace,

Hi Ann, I just have to thank you because I just saw in my personal life that I was especting something back in return instead of the act of giving. It has taken a load off my shoulders to look at giving instead of getting. This is not only a business principle but a life principle.

Hi Ann & Mike,
Thanks for sharing the video. Always a good reminder of creating the value first in relationship building and the giving aspect. It gives us something to look forward to in the jv aspect of just the unlimited potential we all have as we learn and grow, and as we give, we receive back.
Thank you Ann & Mike for your sincere caring you give to your interns and the training is not to be compared with!

Hi Anne and Mike,
I realize how important it is to stick with the start check list, so that is what I have been up to. I do stop now and then to listen to what the two of you have to say, it always inspires me and keeps me thinking about what I plan to do. Will have to get back to the Breakthrough program when I have gotten further along with the pro. it was distracting me from getting that finished.

Hello Ann & Mike I truly thank you both for all your inspiration. But, I am in the Skin Care Industry, how can I leverage a “JV”, and with whom? This would be my dilemma on how to find someone to share in my interests or complement eacother. I don’t know where to begin? Your input, and direction is deeply appreciated!
Regards, Randa Kassisieh
Comment by Randa Kassisieh — May 13, 2009 @ 3:02 pm
Hey Randa,
Since you’re in the skin care industry you’re
primarily dealing with people who are concerned
with taking care of themselves and looking beautiful.
Am I right?
So why not try partnering up with a someone
who offers fragrances, hair care, or even
nail care products?
Chances are THEIR customers would be interested
in taking care of their skin if they spend money
on perfume, their nails, and a stylish haircut.
And some of YOUR skin care customers would probably
be interested in buying what your partner is offering.
So that’s one way you could go.
Now what kinds of products do YOU specialize in?
Anti-aging?
Acne related?
Natural skin care?
Moisturizers?
Cleansers?
Exfoliators?
If you DON’T specialize in all this stuff then
try to partner up with someone who does.
I hope this little comment sparks some ideas

Thanks for continuing to open my eyes to a process that truly makes sense. When you reference the intutive approach to JV’s I reflect to those moments when I knew in my gut what I should be doing but I was more heavily influenced by the old system of my upline that pushed me into a process that proved time and time again not to work. With your training and generous information I know “intuitively” I’m on the right track. THANK YOU!

I am SO excited to see this discussion taking place on a larger scale. Collaboration is one of the cornerstones of Renegade Referrals, and I am learning that collaboration will also be necessary to fully develop it.
I have already partnered with Eric Walker to flesh out some of the ideas. As we shared our idea with other members of the community it created a bit of a buzz. That buzz led to an interview with Ann herself, which is now posted as a bonus item in the Renegade Breakthrough Mentoring Program.
I am now collaborating further with a long-time offline marketer who is very knowledgeable with referral-based networking groups, to ensure our infrastructure is set up equitably.
I have not focused on how this project will be monetized yet, because I know that will come. My main focus right now is creating a system which will help marketers, prospects and the industry.
The bottom line is, I would not have gotten this far without working with others, and I know that by continuing to work with others, things will progress that much more quickly.

Comment by Lane Romero-Reiss — May 13, 2009 @ 11:30 pm
Maybe I’m missing something entirely. I agree JV partnering is very powerful and no doubt works. But how does JV work for someone who doesn’t have a list? Why would someone want to partner up with someone, who doesn’t have a list and is just starting out in MLM? You would have nothing to offer them. Lastly, I was intrigued by the title McDonald’s Lead Generation Secret. I didn’t hear it.

Hi Mike and Ann,
Thanks so much for putting this into audio form. It really helps me to hear it. I so appreciate you both and am eternally grateful for finding you guys 2 years ago.

Oh My Word, this is a wonderful video–helpful, clear and USEFUL!
I have just called my upline.
My upline is very frustrated because their group is not growing. They have a large email list of customers, but no business builders.
I just offered them a JV where I use their list to offer a free e-course on attraction marketing. If someone on their list gets interested, their downline will start to grow. Meanwhile, I have gained email marketing experience and maybe have some people interested in learning marketing from me.
I think this is what you mean. I’m starting small because that is where I am right now.
Thank you for the idea. I hope that this works for me and my upline, and I hope that my idea is useful to someone else starting out.

Absolutely. It is so amazing what partnering up and JVing can do for your business. I am learning so much from the Renegade Breakthrough program. My Tuscany Business is expanding greatly and I have numerous relationships in the U.S. and Italy with people that I do business with.
One partnership involves U.S. Italian Weddings now. There’s another that is in the works with the owner of a Tuscany shop with a Tuscan Interior designer.
This is why there’s so much value in Renegade Breakthrough– just when you think your business is on top, you realize brand new ways that it can sail much higher!

I respect Ann and totally agree on JV’s being where it’s at! I am an Italian recording artist Certified Corporate Publis Speaker and Las Vegas performer for 23 years but I don’t have a list to be able to attract JV partners for my very much liked Private Label (Customized for the client)CDs. I was looking forward to hearing the McDonald story, but didn’t. But I now realize that that “subject line” is what attracted me and hundreds of others. I am wondering whether this kind of marketing has left a bitter taste in my mouth about Ann’s methods! Hmm…
Comment by Gino Federici — May 14, 2009 @ 12:00 pm
Great video and thanks! Let me share a real life example with everybody, too. I’ve been building a list based on Mike and Ann’s trainings. In the first week, I got a40 subscribers. Somebody somewhere, I have no idea who, must have mentioned my list on another list because this morning I woke up to 21 new subscribers. So, one person liked my stuff, spoke of it, and what a huge return.

Ann & Mike -
Great information - 2 heads are better than one. People always appreciate a pat on the back, or a helping hand, and will remember what you did for them - personal or business.
I think many of us hesitate to take that first step to contact a “guru”, thinking they would not be interested in us. But as Mike said, as long as we are sincere and don’t try to “sell” them on our opportunity, most would be willing to spend a few minutes with us and give encouragement.

Hi Ann and Mike!
This is for all those that are just starting their online marketing (like me). I registered for Renegade Breakthrough, wondering if it was too advanced for me. The benefit has been great for a newbie! While I’m not quite at the point to implement everything I’m learning, it gives me a clear road map of where I’m going and what to look for. Now I know I’m not running in circles, but am really building a profitable business.
Thanks for your training!

I love this idea of JV’s and thanks to Renegade Professional and Breakthrough, am engaged in two JVs with some great people. The idea of JVs as the future of online MLM is an exciting one. Selecting your partners, learning to work together, leveraging everyone’s talents, and building a powerful marketing system together are just some of the benefits (and challenges) of these JVs. The learning continues and it just keeps getting more exciting. Thanks for all you both do to help us move forward.

Wow again!
I could sit here for weeks and be inspired to respond and reply to so many great questions and contributions in this discussion alone!
This is a post I thought I’d address for now as I imagine it’s on a lot of newbies minds:
“Maybe I’m missing something entirely. I agree JV partnering is very powerful and no doubt works. But how does JV work for someone who doesn’t have a list? Why would someone want to partner up with someone, who doesn’t have a list and is just starting out in MLM? You would have nothing to offer them…”
When I first started at all this I found a forum where people were promoting something called Aglogo. I share this at length in How I Built My First List so if you’ve heard the story, pardon the review. In brief, Agloco was a free opportunity where members could download something they called a ‘viewbar’ that would be at the bottom of your computer. The ‘viewbar’ was very small but you could do searches on it, and it would show ads that represented the kinds of things you may be interested in based on your preferences. You would get paid for having your view bar present. Or, at anytime with a click you could temporarily (or permanently) make it disappear.
I was fascinated by the concept and but was much more excited about seeing how I may provide value to this audience in order to build my first list.
First I looked for a need.
There were tons of unanswered questions because the company had grown to over 1 million members very quickly, and they weren’t even ready with their view bar (at first). People were anxious or even hostile demanding the company address their questions. But the company was busy. So the need I recognized was that the members wanted questions answered and just to feel heard, and the company needed someone to help them answer those questions.
Not knowing anymore more than anyone else I contacted one of the company founders by email and reminded him that there were a lot of anxious people in the forum but I acknowledged that they must be busy and unable to address it all. I offered to organize a list of the top questions in the forum and ask those questions on a conference call that I would organized for them. I proposed that they could then post this on their website and send an email to their list of 1 million people so they could connect and that this would buy the company more time to develop their view bar.
Well, they liked the idea. I immediately made a blog where I could start building a list. I talk about how I do this exactly in the course, “How I Built My First List” if you want all the details. I knew nothing about any of this except I DID know I should provide value by identifying a need and helping where I could, while setting up a way to brand myself (get my name in front of people) and collect leads.
Here is just one of billions of examples available on how a newbie can JV or collaborate with others.
I partnered up (or JV’ed, or you could call it collaborated) with Agloco so they could communicate quick and easy with their members.
Once I shared this story and how it build my first list of a couple thousand people (and how that generated thousands of dollars still to this day) and someone said, “you were lucky.”
Hogwash.
I did the same sort of thing with Ann Sieg and dozens of other people along the way. In Ann Sieg’s case, I was brand new to attraction marketing. I was brand new to how to make a blog, squidoo lens, etc. I learned something and then I taught it. I was often only a few weeks ahead of my students on the learning curve when I started.
You must be willing to learn new things. And willing to teach or share what you learned. And have the intention to ‘give by intelligent design’ –meaning to organize yourself so you are collecting leads while do you this, which is the subject of “How I Built My First List” but also what you learn by going through Renegade Professional.
Note that when I offered to do the conference call for Agloco I didn’t know exactly how I would set all this up. I had to learn how to set up a blog (I am not a techie I am much like many of you who struggle to learn new things on the computer). I am faster at learning now because I’ve been learning on the computer for over 1.5 years now and it gets easier like anything else, but initially I had 10 thumbs and a lot of anxiety when I sat down to create my first blog post, squidoo, etc.
The bottom line is this… If you learned a skills today (like you will continue to do as you go through the 90 day check list at Renegade Professional) you will have tons of things to offer others.
With far more limited knowledge I JVed with Agloco. With far more limited knowledge I set up Renegade University and just learned and taught, thus JVing with Ann Sieg. I have done this time and time again with setting up the Super Guides program, a JV situation with dozens of people who work together to create content for shared lead generation. It was just an idea. I had to figure it out with them as I went along.
Yes, it is true… if you are brand new to business in general and lack communication skills, leadership skills, confidence and thus are low on inspiring ideas, you have to pay your dues. But you have to pay them no matter what… why not pay them in 3-9 months rather than 14 years like I had to. Renegade Professional, Renegade Breakthrough and resources like you find here at this blog put you on the fast track.
Yes, we all have to develop the skills. If you start doing and have the right frame of mind (and ask the like questions like, “who can I serve, how can I help, what needs to those people have?) you will get your inspiring idea. Until that day comes, follow the action guide. It won’t be long for you, if you do this. We see it every day now!

Hey Mike & Ann wonderful presentation teaching how JV partnerships are the future of MLM marketing, l could not agree more with integration JV marketing, not only do you add massive value for in a JV partnership but the potential for the JV customers could possibly have a viral effect, that neither JV partner could imagine ever before possible, may we all ask our selves Who can I serve? How can I help? What needs to those people have?

Hi Ann and Mike,
Often we’re rewarded with better results in our business when small changes in the way we think are implemented. The ideas and direction you and Ann share are fantastic for shifting our mindset and giving us a broader perspective in building our list through attraction marketing. Just seeing those we connect with in a way that allows for greater leverage is a win/win for everyone. I’ve started doing that since the first RBMP training this comes from and it’s already producing leverage.
I appreciate the value you bring to the team every time you do a training. I’m excited about the shifts and growth in my business as a result.
Appreciating you both,

To Ann & Mike:
Ann - I’ve been with you since around 2006. We’ve personally talked over the phone no more than 3 times (if that) back in 2006 or 2007. Life challenges and changes aside (overcoming family trials and tribulations, death, divorce, remarriage, etc), I kept track and followed you (you kept sending me emails) while off and on staying plugged to you indirectly with my Super Guide (your able assistant Candace Hogan), I’ve always been a student and protege of yours. You’re awesome! Hopefully we can again reconnect live via phone call soon!
Mike - Any friend of Ann’s is a friend of mine…you and Ann are the consummate epitome of what a successful joint venture looks like. Without question, the both of you are the Dynamic Duo of Joint Venturing within the network marketing industry. I’m looking forward to working closely with you & Ann soon. I know the both of you are super mega busy, but if one or both of you can send me a direct or private message to tell me what I need to do to EARN 5 or 10 minutes max, I’ll do it.
I’m halfway through RBMP now, and I desire to work as a coach on both or one of your teams. This course has given me the super mega confidence that I’ve always needed to get to the next level. THANKS to the both of you….THE DYNAMIC DUO!

Hello Ann & Mike,
I want to thank you for sharing this information. It has opened up my mind to a whole new level of opportunities. I have been with an MLM company for over two years now and to be honest with you the only time I have ever collected a payment was for a few fast start bonuses. I am a reader so I have come to the realization that this business does work but my MLM company is teaching stuff that only benefits the Owners. I kept reading because I know for a fact that one day I will be led to a source of true knowledge of how to make it in this business. I have found a new zeal to go forward with what you are teaching and I will keep you posted on my progress.
Thanks for sharing your knowledge, experience and your time, hence allowing a total stranger to find such value in your material.
May everything you do bring you unparalleled success.

Dear Anne,
thanks for all the information on Renegade Marketing Manifesto. I learnt heaps and even shared with my 19-year old son today how to be UNIQUE in his way of presenting knowledge. He was giving his first piano lesson today to a beginner student. I suggested him to create a form to get student information on record, so he could send out regular educational content and build a rapo. I have just completed your manifesto and now have to narrow my niche and start my social marketing through Renegade Professional. Thanks heaps Ann for sharing your knowledge.

I never really thought to much about the concept of forming a JV partnership online until I recently meet a guy from India on Facebook who owns a Web design/development business.
He likes what I’m doing as far as content ideas and writing style. And I definitely could use his expertise on the technical side. Not sure were this is going yet,but I never would have had the idea if it weren’t you and Mike leading the way.
